One of the key aspects of our Transition to School Program is promoting self-help skills. We believe that children should be encouraged to become independent and capable of taking care of themselves. That’s why, as part of our daily routine, children have time after lunch to practice skills such as dressing themselves, managing their belongings, and taking care of their lunch boxes. Children have fun participating in competitions, such as shoe-changing races, which encourages them to develop fine motor skills and coordination. Every Friday, they bring their own lunch boxes to practice eating from them and managing the amount of their food, just like they will do in primary school. This hands-on approach empowers children to develop important self-help skills that will serve them well as they transition to a school setting.
We believe a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy is crucial for a child’s success in school. Our program incorporates engaging and interactive activities that promote a love for learning. Children at Tui Art enjoy reading and sharing knowledge from our science book, promoting curiosity and exploration. They also have opportunities to learn and practice tracing letters and numbers and writing their names with the support of our experienced teachers. The children also love the Spelling game to learn the words. These activities create a positive, stimulating learning environment that prepares children for their next educational journey.
