Our Daily schedule

In addition to the basic daily schedule, each room has its own room routine to meet the needs of children’s growth and learning. For preschoolers, teachers organise literacy and numeracy studies based on the children’s interests, preparing them for primary school.

Children who arrive early can enjoy breakfast brought from home. Tui Art provides free cow’s milk for breakfast.

Morning tea time:

9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Children enjoy a rotating morning tea with fresh fruit and treat.

Morning Mat Time:

11:45 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.

During Mat Times, children take opportunities to listen to music and stories, dance or share their news from home alongside their peers.

Lunchtime & bottle time:

Tui Art provides healthy lunches. Our centre’s meal is nut-free and egg-free. Please inform the centre manager if your child has any food allergies or requests.

Sleep time:

12:30 a.m. – 2:30 a.m.

Children sleep in a clean, comfortable room between 18-22 degrees Celsius. The teachers check the sleepers every 10 minutes for safety reasons.

Transition to School Programme:

12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The preschool teachers educate the children on phonics, numbers, letter tracing, social skills, self-help skills, and overall well-being.

Afternoon Mat time:

During Mat Times, children have opportunities to listen to music and stories, dance, or receive a summary from their teachers about their entire day.

Afternoon tea time:

The children enjoy a group afternoon tea with fresh fruit and treats.

3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

As children begin to leave the centre, those whose parents are picking them up can assist teachers in tidying up, engage in free play, and wait for their parents. A late snack is provided at around 5:00 p.m.

Transition to School Programme

At Tui Art Early Learning Centre, the Transition to School Programme has been exceptionally well-received and has garnered positive feedback. This program is designed to prepare our preschool children for a smooth transition to primary school. The updated schedule for our Transition to School Programme is as follows:

Monday: Focus on the “Letter of the Week” and engage in phonics songs.

Tuesday: Emphasise movement, dancing, and active listening to understand various actions.

Wednesday: Develop self-help skills, including serving food, packing bags, putting on and taking off clothes, learning about road safety, etc.

Thursday: Explore different careers and what individuals in those professions do.

Friday: Revisit the “Letter of the Week” and summarise the week’s learning activities.

In addition, our 4.5-year-old children will receive a Phonic Homework Book that they can take home for weekend practice if they wish.

We are committed to providing a comprehensive and engaging Transition School Programme that ensures our pre-schoolers are well-prepared for their next educational journey.
